I'm on vacation until Tuesday, May 25th. Remember, don't believe anything you read in the paper until then and while I'm gone, take a look at the CEPR Blog for some good reads on economics and policy analysis.

Ok fellas, this is our chance to get our credibility back while he's gone. Moe, you report any news that ignores the housing bubble and recession. Larry, report anything that ignores stimulus spending and employment. Curly, anything on social security and health care that looks good with scary faces in the margins. If anything comes up on trade deficits, productivity or deflation, just do the usual head slaps and eye pokes on each other.

A Facebook friend linked this and if you read the comments, you'll get an inside look at how "The Village" works. This is just ABC but it's everywhere. I'm sending to everyone because it's a sort of empirical verification of what people have deduced about how the media is organized.

Dean: WE ARE THANKFUL FOR YOU. WE NEED THE TRUTH AND NOT MANY CAN SEE OR ANALYZE THE FACTS TO GET AT IT. You have our praise and gratitude. HAVE A GREAT VACATION.

I've given up reading anything serious until your return. I'm now reading "Turning a Rustic Catskills Cabin Into a Midcentury Retreat."
