With All the Excitement Around the Pending Debt Ceiling Deal Fox on 15th (a.k.a. the Washington Post) Gives Up All Pretext of Objectivity

The prospect of cutting Social Security and Medicare benefits really excites the folks who put out the Washington Post. That's why the paper, which completely missed the record share of corporate profits in GDP reported by the Commerce Department on Friday, referred to the desire of Republicans to have a constitutional amendment to "keep future sessions of Congress in line."

A real newspaper would have referred to Republican efforts to keep Congress from spending money. But the Post can't keep its enthusiasm for cuts from dripping all over its reporting. Therefore it just tells readers -- in the news section -- that Congress has been out of line.

It's Dems who have never even threatened to raise the debt ceiling when GOP were in the WH.

As Dean has said in the past, politicians including Obama cares more about his re-election than the poor.

Mass voters are naive/dumb including the Tbaggers.

Bubba, let's sponsor a float in the local FREEZE COMMIE CHINA DEBT CEILING and call it SAVE SENIORS WITH SWAT TEAMS.

We could round 'em up in a couple of weeks out of harms way before they're taken hostage by the coming oppressive socialism and be heroes.

Think of all the dogs we can shoot. Makes me tingle all over.

Stupid liberals.

"keep future sessions of Congress in line"

Another way of saying that is "interfere with the decisions of future elected officials". There is always a legacy of law from one Congress to the next, but this really is an effort to tie the hands of duly elected representatives - who might not share the mania of this batch of representatives.
