Tonight the bars of DC will fill up with folks watching the President's annual State of the Union address. There are even a bunch of SOTU drinking games to play -- including CEPR's #SOTUBingo!
On inequality in the SOTU address, CEPR's Dean Baker has written a couple of pieces and CEPR's John Schmitt talks about equality of opportunity in Salon. There are more CEPR resources about inequality and poverty here.
On the minimum wage, CEPR's John Schmitt has put together a SOTU minimum wage FAQ, packed with useful numbers, background, and context, including a letter signed by over 600 economists (many affiliated with CEPR) supporting an increase to $10.10 per hour. CEPR has looked at low-wage workers, fast-food workers, and the minimum wage from many fascinating angles, all colllected in one place here.
