Mark Weisbrot, Co-Director of CEPR, along with Hans Peter Lankes of the International Monetary Fund and Susan Sechler of the German Marshall
Fund, spoke about free trade as a tool to end poverty,
specifically as it relates to the Doha Round of the World Trade
Organization. A brief question and answer period followed the discussion, held at American University in Washington, D.C. and sponsored by the AU International Development Student
Program and the AU Movement for Global Justice.
