overwhelming mandate?

Bailey the "2 years of overwhelming mandate" is an oft repeated lie. With Sen. Al Franken in a recount battle until July 7th, 2009, Sen. Ted Kennedy was ill and quit voting in late March and was not replaced until his temp was signed in September 24th who only served until Feb 24th 2010 when he was replaced by Republican Scott Brown. That leaves only 4 months and one week that Obama had an "overwhelming majority" or filibuster proof senate.

Not exactly 2 years.

Sorry Dean, NO ONE, who could affect change, cares.

Have you frgotten? We gave Obama control of the Executive, the Senate and the House for two full years. Have you forgotten what he did and didn't do with this overwhelming mandate? The only rational vote for Dems this Nov. is to vote for anyone BUT Obama. Why would the Dem. Party change if it knows it won't be held accountable? Sorry, but it really is that simple. - bailey

bad billing

i think the problem has been neglected so long, & has plunged so many struggling americans into deep debt, that corporate shenanigans aren't going to be fixed. there won't be a word on this in the coming debates. we know how republicans feel on this subject, they love extra fees for making a mistake on a payment. & you can bet your bottom dollar, the democrats if confronted to issue a statement would say, "it's off the table". - mel in oregon
