Bad Times: The Impact of Changes in Work Schedules on Productivity Growth

More than 15 percent of all hours worked in the U.S. are worked during evenings, nights and weekends. This paper examines how simply accounting for types of hours worked could substantially alter our understanding of economic progress and the relative productivity rankings of national economies.
