The Center for Economic and Policy Research (CEPR) examined 26 congressional districts that have competitive races in the 2006 elections, looking at trends in employment, wages, poverty, health insurance and pension coverage, and bankruptcy. We also compared Social Security benefits and beneficiaries, educational attainment, school finance, and Iraq war casualties with state and national totals.
