On August 26, the U.S. Census Bureau will release data on poverty, income, and health insurance coverage for 2003. This data will come from the Current Population Survey's Annual Demographic Supplement, conducted in March of 2004 (March CPS). This report gives context for that release, using data from the Survey of Income and Program Participation for the first half of 2003.
