Our Funders

Our Funders

CEPR is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. We receive support from individuals (your entire contribution is tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law) and foundation grants. Approximately 80% of our funding comes from grants made by foundations. We do not take money from any foreign governments.

The following organizations currently support CEPR’s work:

  • American Jewish World Service
  • John and Laura Arnold Foundation
  • Institute for New Economic Thinking
  • National Education Association
  • Rockefeller Brothers Fund
  • Sloan Foundation
  • Bernard & Anne Spitzer Family Charitable Trust
  • Tides Foundation

CEPR is also supported by individual donors, whose generosity makes our work possible.

CEPR is very grateful to the estate of Tracy Mott for his generous $50,000 donation. Tracy was a long time supporter and friend of CEPR and we offer our condolences to his friends and family on the news of his recent passing. Tracy was passionate about economic justice and we promise to honor his memory by continuing our fight against inequality.

According to a June 2012 in-house analysis of the 25 most-cited think tanks in the nation, CEPR was again the most cost-effective, ranking first in media citations per budget dollar for the fifth time in a row. CEPR also ranked first in web traffic per budget dollar.
