Chris François holds a bachelor’s degree in Peace Studies from Manchester University, and a master’s degree in Global Affairs from Schwarzman College at Tsinghua University. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Development Studies from York University, where her research focuses on the experiences of belonging of Latin American newcomers to Canada. Prior to her internship at CEPR, she worked as a research fellow and policy analyst, gaining professional experience with roles in NGOs, academia, and think tanks in various countries. Chris also holds several years of grassroots organizing experience within the climate and human rights advocacy spaces. She is interested in migration policy and the political economy of developing countries, particularly in Latin America and the Caribbean.
